Sleep In Heavenly Peace Inc (NY) (Buffalo)

Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Inc. (SHP), Buffalo NY Chapter was launched in 2020. We are a local, non-profit, fully volunteer organization for the purpose of providing fully-furnished, hand-made beds for children who are otherwise without a bed of their own. SHP believes the number of children experiencing "bed-less-ness" is a silent epidemic in our area. Our organization's mission is to see that no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. With the help of community volunteers, we have built and delivered over 2000 beds, thus helping 2000 kids off the floor and into beds in the city of Buffalo, NY

The SHP Buffalo chapter was established in 2020 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of providing fully-furnished, hand-made beds for children who are otherwise without a bed of their own. SHP believes the number of children experiencing "bedlessness" is a silent epidemic and that the number of children in need far exceeds the availability of beds for the underprivileged. The organization's mission to see that NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN! has guided the growth and expansion of SHP to more than 400 chapters across the United States and Canada. Community volunteers construct and deliver free, fully-furnished beds to children in need in the Buffalo area. Since 2020, the SHP Buffalo chapter has led hundreds of community volunteers to build and deliver nearly 6000 beds to area children, getting kids off the floor and into beds of their own…many for the first time in their life.
