Central Virginia Horse Rescue

Central Virginia Horse Rescue (CVHR) is a compassionate nonprofit dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of horses in need. Located in Virginia, we offer a safe haven for horses that have experienced neglect, abandonment, or whose owners can no longer care for them. Our mission extends to giving these horses a new lease on life, providing thorough care, medical treatment, proper nutrition, and training, along with the patience and love needed to rebuild their trust. CVHR is also deeply committed to promoting equine welfare through education and active community involvement, ensuring each horse finds a loving forever home. Every horse has a unique story, and at CVHR, we are committed to providing them with the care and support they need for a hopeful future.

Central Virginia Horse Rescue, Inc (CVHR) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the compassionate care of equines. Our mission is to save, protect, and rehabilitate equines in need. We rescue unwanted, abused, neglected, or abandoned equines; provide them with care and rehabilitation; and finally find them a compatible, loving home. We believe that education is the long-term solution to improving the lives of equines.
