This fundraising drive is focused on our TEEN PSA FILMMAKING CLUBS.

At the heart of The Reel Film Foundation lies the passion of a few first generation, indie filmmakers, committed to encouraging the next generation of creators. Our outreach shares a passion for visual storytelling with local students, who now more than ever need to learn how to use images productively, not just to self- brand on their social media, hidden in their rooms, committing images to the web that are forever- before they have even learned the basics of life.

Our Outreach filmmaking clubs help local students explore moving images in a different way. They make films about causes or hashtag movements they are passionate about. These films are developed free of ideas imposed upon them by media and other sources, and bursting with their own unjaded truths. All right here in Daytona Beach - the backdrop of the International Speedway itself, and the home of the third largest public school district in Florida, majority Title One.

When you support this project, you will be part of something special - because when a 15 year old sits in a theatre and hears applause for his short film from strangers, it is a magical moment. It is when a young person learns the difference between gaining respect from body shots on social media, to gaining respect for the caliber of their ideas.
