The American Legion Department of Ohio Inc, a nonprofit organization in Delaware, OH, is dedicated to supporting charitable endeavors that positively impact the lives of individuals and communities. Our mission is to provide essential services to veterans, their families, and those in need, promoting self-sufficiency, dignity, and betterment of quality of life.

Our Focus Areas

Family Support: Addressing the unique challenges faced by military families, including healthcare, education, and family wellness initiatives.
Jobs & Employment: Helping veterans transition into civilian careers with training, education, and employment programs tailored to their specific needs.
Support Services: Assisting veterans, their spouses, and dependents with physical and mental health care, housing, and other essential services.

Yearly Processes Exceed $40 Million in Claims for Veterans

Our organization works tirelessly to ensure that eligible veterans receive the benefits they deserve. We process an average of $40 million in claims annually, connecting struggling veterans to vital resources and paving the way for them to regain control of their lives.

Rehabilitation and Employment Support

More than 90% of disabilities are service-related. However, not all those in need apply as only a percentage receives proper documentation for service records that would qualify them for either compensation or any other form of supportive aid by American legion American veterans' disability processing professional at 30,000 people processed of veterans' benefits department for those that are deserving as people take it.
