Advancing Warriors International

Our Story

Advancing Warriors was founded in 2019 to serve the veteran and first responder communities. They routinely bear more than their share of the burden to protect others, and to protect the blessed way of life that we enjoy in this country. Unfortunately, common issues such as isolation, substance abuse, PTSD, and others have a disproportionate trend in these communities. We seek to address that.

Advancing Warriors is veteran-founded and veteran-led but those who have encountered struggles like those above themselves, and have found immense healing by addressing both the mental and the spiritual components of their overall health. A foundation of AWI's programs is that they are "peer led" where honestly, vulnerability, and relatability are emphasized to show participants that they are not alone, that there is hope, and that through seeking Jesus Christ they can find the true mission and purpose in life that they were designed to meet.

Our Mission

Advancing Warriors equips veterans, first responders, their families, and their communities for intentional growth toward wholeness, wellness, and spiritual well-being through the development of a relationship with Jesus Christ and with an authentic group of believers.

We partner with individuals, churches, non-profits, and other community organizations to host AWI program peer-support and discipleship groups.

We employ a "force-multiplier" model where participants find growth and healing and are then trained and equipped to go out to their communities and spheres of influence, lead further groups, and in turn disciple others.

Our Vision

Advancing Warriors International seeks to love God, love others, and follow The Great Commission and "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..."

We do this by ministering to our veterans, and first responders and building and strengthening authentic communities (through sharpening, growth, transformation, and healing) to empower them to be the disciples that they were created to be.

Advancing Warriors International is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2023 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
