Ronald Mcdonald House Charities Of Charlottesville Inc

For over four decades the House has provided lodging, meals, and encouragement for out- of-town families whose seriously ill or injured children are receiveing treatment in Charlottesville hospitals, primarily UVA Children's hospital.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charlottesville, Inc is organized to create, find, and support programs that directly impact the health and well-being of children and their families. Our largest program, the House program, provides temporary housing for seriously ill children and their families while the children are receiving care at a nearby medical facility. We also have ancillary programs, including providing food several times a week to families in the pediatric ER, preparing and sending 75 complete lunches to the pediatric floor of UVA Children's Hospital every Friday to feed families there, whether they are staying at the House or not, a Podcast ("Walking with Families") to provide hope and inspiration to those facing a child's illness or injury, and a program to affirm and celebrate talented high school students in the arts.
