Troop Appreciation Fishing Fund Foundation

The Troop Appreciation Foundation has been holding fishing derbies and other events for soldiers and wounded warriors for the past eleven years. These donations will help fund three (3) activities for 2023.

June 22, Troop Appreciation Fishing Derby-

50 wounded warriors on Lake Murray, near Columbia ,SC. There will be approximately 20 boat captains and 25 volunteers. The Foundation provides breakfast and lunch for the soldiers. All costs associated with a day of fishing are covered by the foundation for the soldiers. All soldiers receive a gift at the end of the day and a cooler bag filled with fresh fish fillets. In addition the five top fish catchers will also receive fishing trophies and gifts. The VA supports our event and sends two representatives for the day to offer their services to the soldiers.

September 14, 2023 National Guard Fishing Rodeo-

40 active duty or deployed National Guardsmen on Lake Murray.

The same program format as the Fishing Derby event

Bring'm Home for Christmas Initiative-

A Minimum of 30 active duty soldiers who would not otherwise be able to afford coming home to South Carolina for 2023 Christmas Holidays.

The foundation will provide round trip airfare for the soldiers.

For all Troop Appreciation Events :

All Ethnicities are served and welcome, from all counties in South Carolina.

Soldiers from other nearby states have also participated in these events.

Wounded Warriors and the Military units select the soldiers that will participate in these events.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TROOPS- All Board members and volunteers donate their time and resources. We do not reimburse for expenses or have any salaried staff. 100% of all donated funds go directly to funding events and or activities for the soldiers.
